Don’t forget when you’re enjoying your turkey wings and skirt steak how hard the folks behind The Precinct have worked to get it to you. They’ve struggled against local bureaucracy for years all in the name of improving East Vic Park’s standing in the gastronomy scene of Perth. Not everyone seems to have been disapproving. Even our Queen Lizzie gets her mug on the wall in a street art portrait, even if she is in a hoodie. The bar hugs one wall and is crammed with a top notch wine and spirit collection. An installation of rusted steel and factory lights separates the tables from the bustle of the bar, whilst generously sized communal tables cater for groups up the back. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are all catered for with an emphasis on fresh and local, with a few surprises such as peanut butter, bacon and banana toastie for breaky or cola sauce with your steak and chips. Plus it’s great value. Some things about Vic Park don’t change! Dave.
