APAN has yet another great production for Perth audiences just in time for the school holidays, with Shrek Jr The Musical playing at Hertha Reserve in Stirling in the magnificent Big Top.
I loved the extra touches in this show – the characters acting as ushers, the opportunity to have a photo with the performers after the show, and lots of extras on sale.
Disney’s Christopher Robin starring Ewan McGregor hits cinemas on 13 September, and we were lucky enough to get a sneak peek at this beautiful family movie at Event Cinemas Innaloo.
Located in City West, Scitech offers Perth families and visitors a unique science experience. Twice a year Scitech puts on Toddlerfest, which has a special focus on our littlest scientists.
One of the great things about Scitech is that there is something for everyone. Many of the activities that are permanently on offer are suitable for toddlers through to adults. During Toddlerfest you will find a heap of additional features that really engage under 5s.
Spare Parts Puppet Theatre brings to the stage an endearing and somewhat melancholy production based on homegrown graphic novelist Shaun Tan’s book of the same name.
The Arrival tells the tale of Aki, a man who leaves his home country for a foreign and alien land. His reasons are open to interpretation; war, poverty, hope for a better life. The place he arrives at could be anywhere in the universe, limited only by imagination.
New to Crown Pyramid for the July School Holidays is Lights by DreamWorks. Under the family-friendly big top at Crown Perth, young and old are invited to witness the walk-through exhibition of Madagascar, Shrek, Kung Fu Panda and other DreamWorks favourites in the form of illuminated lantern sculptures. We sent WLP contributor, Tabetha Beggs and her family out to get the lowdown on the holiday event.
