Inspired by the classic comfort food of grilled cheese and its popularity in the US, David Manuel launched his food truck The Melt Hub back in November 2015. From the mobile black box you can expect handcrafted combinations of old-school comfort food with new-school flavours “with an Anglo-French American twist,” says David. Think gourmet melts and burgers. David takes the classic cheese and carb combo and turns it into something a bit fancy, a bit gourmet, and a lot delicious.

After the incredible success of the inaugural Food Truck Rumble last year, when the only criticism voiced about it was that there were too many people there, director Ai-Ling will take over even more of the Perth Cultural Centre when the event returns this weekend as part of Eat Drink Perth. The 2015 Rumble will see a whopping 30 food vans serving tasty treats: cupcakes, banh mi, popsicles, dumplings, juice, tacos, mac and cheese, burgers and much more.
