The Swan Valley is the oldest wine producing region in Australia, and we all know about the great fortified wines that come out of the area, but in recent years the Valley has seen a growth in craft breweries and locally produced ciders. With 9 different quality beer and cider producers on an easy to navigate loop, the City of Swan has launched the Swan Valley Cider and Ale Trail, and we’re well on board.

1. Eagle Bay Cacao Stout Returns
This wintery, dark brew from Eagle Bay Brewing Co is made with cacao husks from local chocolate makers Bahen & Co. Cacao husks are a waste product from the chocolate making process so we love that they are being used to create something amazing! We tried it at Petition Beer Corner last night and it was great
Captain Cook Cruises take ferries out on the Swan River for all sorts of events – chances are you will have been on one before. Wine tasting, private parties, sightseeing tours and more are on offer, and they’ve recently launched a Fremantle Craft Beer tour – right up our alley!
