Threeninenine Bar is found up the top end of William Street, away from the rowdy pubs and clubs that are synonymous with Northbridge. There you’ll find a fit out that is clean and modern with inviting booths, a long bar and a cosy little courtyard. The bar still manages to remain a little grungy, which makes the venue feel comfortable and honest. What really sets 399 Bar apart, though, is the staff. Each visitor is greeted in a warm and friendly manner, making you feel right at home, and they are knowledgeable and adept at all sorts of beverage preparation. Importantly, the spirits on offer are extensive, the beers are decent, and the variable wine list always presents a good selection. 399 is also open during the day, serving coffee and baked goods to the locals in the morning, and offering a daily meal special on top of a snack menu.
